As part of the introduction of the SAP solution for local government and the city of BG, implementation was carried out for two groups of indirect budget institutions during 2018 and 2019, at the level of the Secretariat for Education and the Secretariat for Culture. The solution for IBK is integrated with the existing SAP solution at the level of cities and municipalities and significantly contributes to simpler planning of program activities, ie monitoring and control of budget spending. At the level of the Secretariat for Education, the solution was introduced according to the principle of Roll-out implementation in 17 preschool institutions, with the upgrade of the solution for the needs of procurement, preparation and distribution of food for all kindergartens. At the level of the Secretariat for Culture, the solution has been introduced in over 30 cultural institutions such as theaters, museums, libraries, etc. The following modules have been implemented: FI – Financial Accounting FI/AA – Fixed assets FI MM – Budget management CO – Controlling (Management Accounting) PS – Project system MM – Material Management Commodity Solutions – Accounting records that cover the process of monitoring and evaluating the creation of meals in kitchens and delivery to kindergartens.
The project was funded by the European Union with the aim of improving the business and financial reporting of public media institutions in Serbia, as well as harmonizing standards with relevant practice in the EU regarding the content and broadcasting of programs. The project also included the harmonization of existing solutions for the collection of RTV fees in RTS and RTV institutions. From the aspect of business improvement, innovations and improvements were introduced in the existing SAP solution that covers the financial and accounting part of business in RTS and RTV institutions, and in order to improve reporting, the SAP BW system was implemented as a basis for analytical processes. Within the REM project, standards for broadcasting content and quality of information were defined and trainings were held for employees in order to prepare for the implementation of the policy adopted for EU member states. The project of introducing the SAP solution in the Public Media Institution of RTV Vojvodina also had one specificity that referred to the development and application of the solution for the collection of the RTV fee, the so-called Billing solutions. In addition to the Billing solution, the project included the delivery of SAP ERP licenses and the implementation of financial and accounting modules, logistics modules in the field of sales and procurement of services and materials, as well as the basic functionality of the HR module. The company Bekto Precisa from Goražde is engaged in the production of precision tools for plastic injection, installation of electrical assemblies and subscopes, as well as pad printing. Due to the complexity and specificity of the business, the implementation of the SAP ERP solution was very demanding. The SAP solution enabled the standardization and optimization of business and significantly contributed to greater profitability and competitiveness of the company in the domestic and foreign markets.
